Skip Smiley: America’s Most Trusted Smiley

Skip Smiley has skillfully worked his way up the ladder to become the most trusted Smiley in the reporting biz. His face has become synonymous with breaking news, electrifying charm and unbridled sex appeal.
Best known for his cutting-edge, on-site reporting of the two-headed llama birth at the “Little Zoo at Crockstown,” Skip wowed local audiences when he narrated the entire labor in both the English language and animal tongue. But Skip wasn’t always this noteworthy…
As a young Smiley, Skip always dreamed of growing up to be an Olympic Figure Skating Champion, much like his personal idol, Scott Hamilton. Despite years of training, Skip’s future was forever changed after witnessing a terrifying costume malfunction during his tenure with the Ice Capades. Skip was approached by a local news station about the incident (later nicknamed ‘Tasselgate’ in the sports world). The reporter on scene stepped onto the ice sporting a plaid polyester suit, teal ascot and a small unsightly tuft of facial hair nestled under his chin. Upon seeing him, Skip knew he had but one choice if this story would be reported with any dignity, class and mojo…he’d need to grab the microphone and deliver the news himself!
Luckily for Skip, at that same time, executives at Smiley Central were on the lookout for a Head News Anchor when they caught Skip’s live rink report. In an instant, they knew they’d found their new star.
Outside of work, Skip enjoys reading classic comic books by the water cooler, manscaping and competing in Wii bowling matches. He also has a weakness for Italian loafers, green M&M’s (only) and Baywatch reruns.
Keep an eye out for his ongoing reports, breaking updates and deep luminations about life, love and animal husbandry.
